Multi-level marketing is a business of duplication.  It is important to be submissive to what your people can copy and “loners” can never make it long term in MLM business.  You must be willing to improve and copy your sponsor, who in turn must be willing to improve and copy their sponsor as well; and the process continues.  Reinvention of the cycle is very important in the business.  A big part of this business is the ability to pursue the successful patterns, strategies and systems developed by your sponsor line.  This means less personal glory, but added personal security, since your business is not so dependent on you alone.

MLM marketers are in positions of leadership and they influence the lives and careers of many people. Yet, the marketers who attain success and able to keep it, have a healthy ego, they do not let their ego run wild.  Marketers know the important process of “courtship” and they know that letting their ego loose would not help them get what they want.

Another requirement to multi-level marketing business success is the enthusiasm to do business in a whole new way.  MLM marketing is not about office politics or committee meetings but it’s a unique approach in doing business.  Multi-level marketing is about the new business concept that believes success can only come from helping and making others successful.

If you are not a self-starter and you need someone checking over your shoulder, then multi-level marketing may not be right for you.
